Lake District Mega Road Trip: Part 7 Huilo Huilo

Huilo Huilo is a biological reserve that was created to protect the natural wildlife and nature in Southern Chile.  Just walking around the grounds of the hotel was amazing!  We felt like we had been thrown into hobbit-ville.

Inside the hotel, looking out at the waterfall cascading down it's side.

 It was beautiful!

Inside the main lobby that connects the two hotels, there is a stream that runs all the way from one end to the other...

We had so much fun just exploring the grounds...

 walking the halls...
 checking out the pools...
and figuring out how tree trunks can end up in the middle of hallways.
A carpenter was working on making coat racks for the hotels and cabins out of local wood underneath the pathways we were taking.

Truly a magical place
