Here's Jake's 1A class getting ready for pictures. Glad to see he is smiling :) Unfortunately, Kate had pictures too, but we didn't know it. Sent her to school in a ponytail. She came home and told me she looked like a boy for her photo. She could never look like a boy, but I felt bad that we hadn't done anything special!!! Maybe a 9 year old photo shoot needs to be taken soon at home :) 
Jake's wishes for this year: "I wish to be a better writer" and "a better _____." Your guess is as good as ours. He couldn't remember what it said :)
