Dia de Los Muertos

When you go to an American School, Halloween is still important :)  So, Kate got to say goodbye to her comfy uniform and spice things up a bit for the day.

She was so excited.  I love that big hole in her smile!

The boys got a kick out of the green eggs and witches hats.  They kept saying, "Where's the ham?!"  Because the last time I made green eggs, was with ham, with our friends the McCarns, for Dr. Seuss' birthday.
At 5pm, we got a "ding dong" and there were trick or treaters outside.  "Dulces or Trucos!"  Trick or treating is a new thing down here apparently, but despite the cheap candy and the hot weather, you would have thought we were back home!  It was so fun!  It looked and felt like any American suburban town... except we were meeting people from Argentina, Peru, Chile of course, and a few others :)

Luke refused to put on the lion's mane, and at the last minute, Jake changed his mind from being a dinosaur to a firefighter.  Only trouble was, his pants were like 5 sizes too small!  They were capris and looked sooo uncomfortable!!!!!  Didn't seem to stop him though...Feliz Halloween!

Luke's capris made me laugh out loud! Such a funny kid! I'm so glad they were able to trick-or-treat and enjoy a little taste of home.

Miss you mucho! (that's about the extent of my Spanish)
