Flyers Swiss Championship Baseball Tournament

Baseball isn't really big in Switzerland, so when we realized that the club team that the boys wanted to play on was only 2 towns and only 12 minutes away, we were ecstatic.  Even better this year, was that Jake and Luke would be able to practice together!  Woohoo!!!
We had the Swiss championships again in September.
Last year, our boys took first place for all of Switzerland.

Because it's not as popular as other sports like soccer, our team has been 7-12 year olds!  It's quite an age range and one that I don't love.  But there is little we can do about it.  So, because Luke is one of the youngest on the team, he doesn't always get invited to play in all of the games.  That was the case with the championships this year.  He was fine with it, as some of the 12 year olds were really big!
Sometimes Sandlot comes to mind when I watch the teams play.  It makes me smile.
No bleachers or shade ever.  So we always make do and share our canopy when we can!
This year, we ended up taking 2nd place.  Not too shabby, Flyers.  Way to go!
