Priceless

I was getting ready one morning and Jake poked his head around the corner and asked, "How do you make the 'ooooooo' sound?"
Applying my mascara, I replied, "Usually that is with two O's."
"Ok, thanks Mom."  And he disappeared as quickly as he came.

A few minutes later, with a big grin, I was handed this:

My FAVORITE "I love you."
It's up next to my bed and makes me smile every night when I crawl into bed.

A couple of days later we were all in the car, driving into Santiago to take Luke to his 2 year old check-up.  I had brought along some workbooks to keep Kate and Jake busy while I talked with the doctor.  One of the pages in Jake's book had a spot for him to draw pictures of things that started with the letter "W."
As we were driving, Jake was having a hard time thinking of other words after "whale" and "water."I wasn't much help because I was focused on keeping us from getting side-swiped on the road.  It's a daily task I'm enduring.  It all goes back to not being able to multi-task down here.  A frustrating phenomenon for me.  Anyway,  after a few minutes I heard from the back seat,
 "I KNOW!!!  A WESTAURANT!!!"
No real differentiation between our W's and R's yet...and I'm in no hurry to fix it :)

I love it!! I've loved reading all your Christmas posts and all the things you did. The kids look so happy and wonderful. I'm amazed at the largest pool in the world and how cool is it that you go to swimming in it!! Happy New Year to you and to all your amazing adventures!

I understand! I remember David's teacher bringing up his speech issues in kindergarten, telling me not to worry because he would likely out grow it. I was laughing inside that she thought I was worried! I loved every minute he still talked so cute! And he HAS out grown it. We miss you!
You know, the girls and I went to the car to go somewhere and realized Matt had the keys with him. So we went on a pretend trip to go see you guys in Chile! It was gobs of fun! Well until our beloved Kate turned into a Zombie and we had to leave super fast! Wish we could really come visit!
