I'm going to break our summer time at home into two categories.
Joe traveling and Joe's actually in Chile.
This will be Joe is traveling.
He would send his love from the sky and whichever country he happened to be in and I would send back to him pictures like this:
All summer long, ever single night, the kids had "sleepovers" on our couch upstairs. Sure made for making their beds easy in the morning! I came up one night to find them like this. Hysterical. Subconsciously Jake must still have known he was on a couch, so he moved to a sitting up position while sleeping.
Shenanigans such as this...
Pool Parties that turned into Movie Parties...
Plenty of time spent reading our Christmas card that finally arrived and then reading them again...
And he would let us know what he what he was doing too...
We said goodbye to good friends...
Started up a summer school program in our living room...
Worked on perfecting our flips...
Worked on perfecting some important life skills...
Had some essential Spa Time with Mom's Dead Sea Mud...
Were surprised with some Christmas packages that arrived Chilean style...
Took some free form art classes...
Helped Mom with the shopping at our favorite grocery store...
Surprised Mom with some awesome love notes...
And saved the day on many occasions.
All in all, we had some wonderfully LAZY summer days.
