If you've ever seen Koa Wood, then you know how beautiful it is. BG, in the past few years, has become...let's say...passionate about it :) He tracked down one of the Koa experts in the Islands, and discovered his home was only minutes from where we were staying! So, in addition to looking at purchasing some of his paddles, BG also set a class up for the older grandkids to learn how to make Koa surfboard keychains from start to finish. 
I think everyone learned a lot and had a great time doing it!!!
Here are the surfboards drying...and there are the paddles behind that will probably be up in BG's room when we come home to visit next :) Thanks, Dad, for giving the kids a great opportunity to try something new!
