Kauai 2014 -- Annual Photo Shoot... at Major's

But first we have to take care of a few important details
like losing our first tooth!!!!!

And applying just a touch of makeup with our bestie :)

So let's get this thing started, beautiful family!

 The Berryhills

Momo and BG and the grandkiddos

The Hansens

 The Girls

 The Girls and our girls

 Growing up too fast

Love them with all my heart.  Don't love the candy that's in Jake's cheek.

I've got some good looking parents :)

Love him with all of my heart

Still hasn't swallowed that darn candy, but man, this is cute.  He loves his Dad...and with good reason.

I think these should replace the school photo we forgot about when Kate mentioned she looked like a boy because her hair was back in a normal pony tail :)  So very cute, Kate!

Gotta have just a little sass...

The sun has set and so has our amazing day at Major's Beach.

Kauai 2014 -- Did I mention we are still at Major's?

So, while some of us braved the surf, the rest of us found other ways to entertain ourselves.

Best friends and roomies in college... I can see it so clearly.

Please, may it always be Sprite.

"I like long walks on the beach."

"So do I... as long as there are cool sticks to be found."

"We do too!  And look!  We found a stick that looks just like a gun!"

And seriously, he couldn't get enough of that frisbee.

And I couldn't get enough of him.

Sand stache

Kauai 2014 -- Still at Major's

The waves were pretty hairy at Major's the day we came to visit

No one stayed in as long as they would have liked...

But Joe decided he needed one last good ride before digging a mega hole for the kids in the sand.

 I think he got it.

Kauai 2014 -- Major's Beach

If this doesn't express how we feel about Major's Beach, then I don't know what would!

Someone was LOVING frisbee time with his BG on a beach that we had to ourselves.

Nice extension, Luke.

 This is serious business.

Those dark clouds can't scare him away :)

 So. darn. cute.

Kauai 2014-- Glass Beach

We've been going to Kauai for a long time.  We love it so much that we choose to endure the painful travel from Chile to get there ;)  It is a truly relaxing vacation where we get to do just that.  Relax.  I love it.  I love the air.  I love the water.  I love the sun.  I love the sand.  I love the perfect temperature at night.  I love the food.  I love the late night reading.  I love the lazy mornings.
 I love it all.

I thought we had seen and done everything there is to do on the island... and then we read about Glass Beach.

It used to be a dumping ground full of glass bottles, windshields, and flasks.
Over the years, the waves have broken and smoothened these pieces of trash into beautiful, smooth, colorful, sea glass.

Digging under the big rocks seemed to be where we found the biggest and brightest pieces.

Everyone was up for a little searching.

Momo was the master.

We had the best time being out here searching for treasures.
Wouldn't mind if we made our way back to Glass Beach next year :)
